ABOUT THE LONGINES SPORT COLLECTION HISTORY The Longines Sport collection of watches celebrates the brand’s deep connections with all forms of sport since the launch of 20H, its first chronographic movement, in 1878. With the creation of multiple precise timekeeping instruments, Longines established its dominance in all things athletic, such as the Belmont Stakes, of which it is the official timekeeper. More notably, Longines was the official timekeeper of the first Modern Olympics, a fact which is commemorated by the Conquest sub-collection. The second variation of this line, the Hydroconquest, was created for divers across the globe. DESIGN Watches from the Longines Sport collection have a distinctive sporty appeal with their enlarged bezels available in multiple shades such as black, red, blue and silver. Their perfectly circular cases are made of stainless steel for long-enduring elegance. Pronounced extensions from the case house the crown and additional screws in each watch of this collection. Their crowns are fluted to impart an element of rugged appeal to the ensemble, as well as to ensure a secure grip while adjusting time.
