G-SHOCK marks yet another milestone! Celebrate with a return to the brand’s original game-changing vision, now 40 years later and updated with today’s cutting-edge technologies. In true G-SHOCK style, the DW-5000R stays true to G-SHOCK origins and yet forges ahead with innovation at the same time. Inheriting the design concepts of the first-ever G-SHOCK, this updated take on the original incorporates current state-of-the-art Casio technologies to deliver today’s advanced functionality in a supremely faithful re-creation of the original iconic design. Just like the first, the case is made of stainless steel, and the original band design, too, is reproduced down to the smallest detail — length, form, and even the position of the dimples. The case size has been updated to 42.3 mm from the original 41.6 mm. In a further nod to where G-SHOCK began and how far it has come, the bezel and band are, like the original, made with resin, but now bio-based. This material is expected to help reduce environmental impact.
