Zenith made this Defy Extreme entirely in titanium with a matte finish, keeping it light while staying tough. Through the tinted sapphire dial and its applied counters you can watch the El Primero 21 at work: one escapement beats at 5 Hz for the time and a second at 50 Hz for the chronograph, whose hand turns once every second. The movement, with a black main plate and black oscillating weight, has 53 jewels and a reserve of around 50 hours. The watch comes on a titanium bracelet, with a rubber strap and a Velcro strap also in the box.
