Celebrating the Apollo 8 mission, this Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon lets the movement tell the story. Its blackened main plate and bridges are laser-engraved with a Moon-relief texture: the near side shows through a skeletonised black anodised aluminium dial, the far side through the caseback. The 44.25 mm case and bezel are black ceramic, the tachymeter laser-engraved and filled with white enamel.
Small seconds are read with a Saturn V rocket-shaped hand in grade 5 titanium, while a yellow varnished chronograph seconds hand echoes the yellow interior of the perforated black rubber strap. Manual-winding Calibre 3869 is a Co-Axial Master Chronometer certified by METAS, resistant to 15,000 gauss, with 50 hours of reserve. The caseback is engraved APOLLO 8, DEC 1968 and DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.
