Speedtimer is the Prospex family that carries Seiko's professional timekeeping heritage, and this chronograph runs on solar power. The story goes back to the 1960s, when Seiko entered international sports timing with a new generation of high-precision equipment; since the 1964 Olympics its timing has been endorsed by sports federations at major events, continuing today through the IAAF partnership. This design moves to a 'go large' size of 41.4mm, up from the 39mm original, and adds a tapered bracelet, an aluminium bezel and a tachymeter for better practicality and visibility. It recharges under natural or electric light.
