Seiko describes this diver as part of its ongoing story of innovation and design evolution, created by combining two popular models. Fans gave the 'Samurai' and the 'Shogun' their names because of their angular cases, and the 'Shogurai' borrows from each: the Shogun's sharply raked lugs, likened to the edge of a Samurai sword, and the Samurai's crown, joined by the straight lines both share and a set of modern updates. Its 41.7mm case is compact and slim for comfort, with sharp new details including pointed hands, a reshaped bracelet and a date at 4.5 o'clock. It runs on an in-house 4R35 and complies with the ISO professional diving standard.
