The Seiko Prospex Sea SRPL13K1 combines a black dial and a 41.7 mm stainless steel case with the automatic calibre 4R35, which provides a 41-hour power reserve. Known as the 'Shogurai', this 4R Diver is a hybrid of two Seiko favourites, the 'Samurai' and the 'Shogun', both nicknamed by fans for their angular, instantly recognisable cases. It takes the Shogun's steep lugs, so sharp they could have been shaped by a Samurai sword, adds the crown style of the Samurai, and follows the straight lines of both, alongside modernised touches. The compact 41.7mm case is kept slim for comfort, with a 4.5 o'clock date window, pointed hands and a newly designed bracelet. The watch conforms to the ISO benchmark for professional divers' watches, and inside is the in-house 4R35.
