The Seiko Prospex Sea SNE595P1 houses the solar calibre V157 in a 41 mm stainless steel case just 11.3 mm thick. Seiko built Japan's first diver's watch in 1965, and this solar model carries that lineage forward in a classic dive-watch form. Its navy dial carries broad markers treated with Lumibrite, legible enough for professional diving yet just as practical on dry land, while a bezel split into red and blue turns in one direction only. Seiko reworked the case so its finishing takes the spotlight, helped by a light-powered movement compact enough to hold the profile to 11.3mm. Natural or artificial light recharges it, a full charge keeps it going for ten months, and accuracy is rated at plus or minus 15 seconds a month.
