The Seiko Prospex Sea HBC001J1 combines a 42 mm stainless steel case and green dial with the automatic calibre 6R54, a GMT movement offering a 72-hour power reserve. This model revives a classic colour scheme from Seiko's 1968 Heritage Diver's GMT, now with modernised specifications. The case shape follows the 1968 original, its sides polished to a mirror finish, while the edge of the unidirectional bezel is designed for easy turning. Calibre 6R54 brings a GMT function so two time zones can be followed at once, and water resistance has been raised to 300 metres. A newly developed clasp offers six adjustment steps of about 2.5mm each, around 15mm in all, so the fit can follow changes in wrist size underwater or day to day.
