The Seiko Astron SSH175J1 is a 44.1 mm titanium chronograph with a blue dial, driven by the GPS solar calibre 5X83. Designed under the theme of 'Solidity', this Astron belongs to a family of solar watches that Seiko sees as pointing towards the future of its watchmaking. The case is compact and angular with a slim profile, and its lines run almost unbroken from the case through the lugs into the five-piece titanium bracelet, which carries a micro-adjustable clasp. Seiko kept the centre of gravity low so that the watch sits comfortably, while the dial shows a horizontal line pattern with its subdials arranged vertically. A three-dimensional globe decorates the caseback.
