Seiko built this Astron around its new 5X83 movement, which links itself to the GPS network as often as twice daily, or on demand at the press of a button, so the time stays correct wherever the wearer travels. The bezel is made in two parts: a ceramic top ring, printed with Arabic numerals and the word "CHRONOGRAPH", resting on a titanium frame. The case itself is black carbonised titanium, and a double-curved sapphire crystal with Seiko's "Super Clear" treatment covers the dial, a combination the brand chose for comfort and easy reading.
