Rado made the DiaStar’s name in 1962 with its resistance to scratches, and this version houses a Swiss automatic movement in the same oval form. Its hardmetal bezel has a CVD coating, and its stainless steel crown is PVD-treated. A yellow gold-coloured bracelet of PVD-coated steel is fastened with a matching 3-fold clasp. The case measures 11.9 mm in thickness. Rated water resistant to 30 metres, the watch is protected from splashes and rain, though it is not designed for swimming.
