The Rado DiaStar Original Automatic Skeleton R12164153 sets a black skeletonised dial inside a 38 mm stainless steel case topped by a yellow gold-coloured Ceramos™ bezel. The R808 here has an anthracite-grey coating, set against contrasting elements that give the open movement a layered look. With sapphire crystal on the front and a transparent sapphire case back, the mechanism can be followed from both sides, and it is tested in five positions. The polished bezel, the crown and the case back all carry PVD treatment, and the yellow gold-coloured indexes seem to hover over the dial. Matching hands are filled with white Super-LumiNova®. A PVD-coated steel bracelet in a yellow gold tone with a 3-fold clasp completes it, and the 100-metre rating means swimming and snorkelling are fine, diving is not.
