Built around a skeletonised movement, the Rado DiaStar Original Automatic Skeleton R12162153 has a 38 mm case in Ceramos™ and stainless steel with a black dial. Rado gives this version of the R808 an anthracite-grey coating, with contrasting parts in the movement for visual depth. Sapphire crystal sits both over the dial and in the case back, so the open mechanism is visible from either side. Each movement is checked in five positions for accuracy. The Ceramos™ bezel frames the skeleton work, while yellow gold-coloured indexes appear to float above it, matched by hands carrying white Super-LumiNova® for low-light legibility. A stainless steel bracelet with a 3-fold clasp completes the watch, and the 100-metre rating suits swimming and snorkelling but not diving.
