Green is the colour chosen for the dial of the Rado DiaStar Original Automatic R12160303, which is cased in 38 mm of stainless steel. Power comes from the automatic calibre R764, good for up to 80 hours, with a magnetism-resistant Nivachron™ hairspring and day and date windows tinted to match the dial. Brushing in two directions gives the green dial its texture, and the rhodium-coloured hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova® for reading in low light. Over the dial sits a sapphire crystal cut with parallel stripes, framed by a glossy Ceramos™ coiffe whose angles are polished and whose tone matches the steel case. Rado adjusts the R764 in five positions. A bracelet in brushed and polished stainless steel closes with a three-fold clasp. The case is 12.1 mm thick, and its 100-metre water resistance suits swimming and snorkelling, not diving.
