Plasma ceramic starts as white ceramic, which is treated with gases heated to 20,000 °C to change its structure. A stainless steel turning bezel holds a polished green ceramic insert whose engraved markers are filled with white Super-LumiNova®. The box-shaped sapphire crystal, anti-reflective on both sides, is second only to diamond in hardness. Three counters show 12 hours, 30 minutes and small seconds, plus a date at 6 o'clock and Rado's rotating anchor on a ruby backing. The movement has a Nivachron™ hairspring and five-position regulation. A plasma ceramic bracelet with a titanium three-fold clasp completes it, and 300 metres of water resistance makes it a diver's watch.
