O31032405006002
SKU: O31032405006002
A brown non-grained calf leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle suits the second-generation styling of this Speedmaster First OMEGA in Space. The 39.7 mm polished and brushed steel case honours the CK 2998 that Walter Schirra wore on the Sigma 7 flight of 3 October 1962, and the caseback carries the Seahorse medallion and THE FIRST OMEGA IN SPACE engraving.
Beneath a sapphire crystal shaped like hesalite, the CVD-coated grey-blue dial shows Alpha hands and indexes in vintage Super-LumiNova, a white varnished central Baton hand and subdials for 30 minutes, 12 hours and small seconds. A black aluminium bezel ring carries the tachymeter and Dot Over Ninety. Manual-winding Calibre 3861, a METAS-certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer, withstands 15,000 gauss and runs for 50 hours.
