The Constellation Observatory 140.13.39.21.01.001 revisits the “Pie-Pan” dial of the original 1952 Constellation with twelve facets, here in black ceramic with a polished centre and smooth polished facets without grooves. Kite-shaped indexes and dauphine hands in diamond-polished 18K white gold sit beside a transferred OMEGA logo and an applied Constellation star.
Polished and brushed, the 39.4 mm O-MEGASTEEL case has faceted “dog-leg” lugs and a clear-cut faceted bezel, worn on a black glossy alligator strap with a polished steel pin buckle. Calibre 8914 makes this the first two-hand watch in the world to be certified a Master Chronometer by METAS; through the sapphire caseback, its skeletonised rotor shows a laser-engraved Constellation Observatory medallion. Water resistance is 30 metres.
