SKU: AB0139211G1P1
The Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41 (ref. AB0139211G1P1) pairs a 41 mm stainless steel case with a cream dial and a gold brown alligator leather strap. It runs on the self-winding Breitling 01 calibre with a chronograph and a power reserve of about 70 hours, and the case is water resistant to 30 m. Kamal Watch Co. is an authorised retailer of Breitling watches.
Willy Breitling created the Navitimer in 1952 as a wrist chronograph with a circular slide rule, so pilots could work out flight calculations on the wrist; two years later the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association adopted it as its official watch, and in 1962 astronaut Scott Carpenter took one into space. The current generation flattens the slide rule and uses a domed crystal to make the watch look slimmer, alternates polished and brushed surfaces on the case, and returns the AOPA wings logo to its original place at 12 o'clock.
