The Chronomat was introduced in 1984 for Breitling's centenary, a mechanical watch at a time when quartz dominated, building on a chronograph made the year before for the Italian Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team. The Chronomat Automatic 36 is sized for a wide range of wrists and uses the Breitling Caliber 10, a COSC-certified automatic movement based on a Sellita calibre, with a 42-hour power reserve and a date at six o'clock. It comes on the integrated Rouleaux bracelet, which can be fine-adjusted on both sides of the clasp.
