RADO is a world-class brand of watches acknowledged for its over-the-top innovations, for its prodigious utlilization of nonstandard materials like ceramic and sapphire crystal and is also, remarked as "being on the top" in the watch world.  RADO stands out as unique with a vision that is “If we can imagine it, we can make it, and if we can make it, we will.”

Rado commenced in 1917 in the small town of Lengnau, Switzerland as the Schlup & Co. Clockwork factory by the three Schlup brothers Fritz, Ernst and Werner with a naive goal to produce watch movements to be exported to the United States.

But today, the company produces about half a million watches a year which are obtainable in more than 150 countries around the world. Rado is exclusively considered a high class watch brand in Pakistan and among Pastun people (Afghanistan).

Currently, the headquarters is in Lengnau, Switzerland headed by Mathias Brenchan(CEO).

RADO watches are for those who love the finer things in life and yearn to be as la-di-da. RADO uses of a number of materials that are anomalous within the watch making industry, such as hardmetal(tungsten- andtitanium carbide), ceramics, lanthanum and sapphire crystal. It is also noted for its use of scratch-proof materials.

The raw material of high-tech ceramics is ultrafine powders of titanium carbide or zirconium oxide, which is pressed into shape and sintered and then polished by diamond powder to produce light.
